I went to Yingshan County for two back to back BMX Freestyle contests for the Chinese BMX league.
There was a very high turnout of riders, over 120 in total. I was head judge for the events with an element of teaching/showing the federation and national judges how to do the jobs themselves.
As with any contest there is a high level of riding in all categories and close scores, from ages 6 all the way to the 30s in both Male and Female
I helped them with the Technical Delegate and Commissaire roles that are also applied for UCI BMX Freestyle competitions, from time keeping to course checks and what to do if things go wrong.
The Chinese News network were there CCTV to get coverage for the event. I was asked to an interview about the event and BMX freestyle in China and it hopefully will reach 10s of millions of people.
