The first stop of the 2023 BMX Freestyle UCI World Cup for FISE World kicked off in Diriyah Riyadh Saudi Arabia. The event was held on a private equestrian facility with ambitions to create an extreme sports facility for Riyadh. Its great to see so many new countries investing in the sport now its become Olympic. There was also a healthy turnout of local Saudi riders for the amauter contest. The pro contests were tough to judge as usual. Very high level of riding by male and female. It always impresses me how within a few months the sport can progress so fast.
