This years UCI BMX Freestyle World Championships was the first official event where riders can qualify for Paris 2024 Olympic Games. As expected the riding level was the highest we had ever seen. It was tough for us as judges as well as the riders in the 35 degree plus heat. I was head judge for this event and even one for the computers decided it was too hot and stopped working, but we smoothly and quickly replaced and continued the contest with no delays. Overall a very successful trip to the UAE.
